If Tanisha Latimer could be a professional student, that would be her job. But, she’s doing the next best thing as registrar at ¼ø»Æʦapp.

¼ø»Æʦapp has been awarded nearly $600,000 as part of a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF).

Instructors in the welding program at ¼ø»Æʦapp recently traveled to Cleveland to receive specialized training on the program’s Lincoln Robotic Welding Education Cell trainer.

¼ø»Æʦapp now offers a pathway to a career in agriculture that can be found nowhere else in South Carolina. Beginning in the fall of 2011, the college will be offering an associate degree in diversified agriculture, the only degree of its kind in the state.

The gunsmithing program at ¼ø»Æʦapp is holding a fundraising drawing to help the program.
