¼ø»ÆÊ¦app’s Continuing Education Division is partnering once again with Collette Tours to offer a fabulous lineup of travel opportunities in 2022. This year, planned trips include destinations in Colorado, New England, Texas, and Morocco.
At its Jan. 18, 2022, meeting, the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app (PTC) Area Commission welcomed Dennis Lambries, Ph.D., as the college’s new area commissioner representing Saluda County. Dr. Lambries is an instructor of political science at Newberry College with ties to PTC dating back to his service on the Saluda County Council.
¼ø»ÆÊ¦app (PTC) recently joined with Lonza and Apprenticeship Carolinaâ„¢ on a proactive, multifaceted strategy to address the ongoing workplace need for maintenance technicians. As a result, newly registered apprenticeships at Lonza’s Greenwood facility provide a structured training program for critically important roles in maintenance, electronics, and a hybrid of mechanical and electrical disciplines.

Recent evidence suggests that there is genuine community interest in a profession where people voluntarily run — yes, run — into burning buildings. Interest has been so high, in fact, that ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app (PTC) will begin offering a Fire Science Program later this year.
¼ø»ÆÊ¦app (PTC) conducted two in-person fall commencement exercises on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at the James Medford Family Event Center in Greenwood. In all, approximately 152 students received degrees.

A coordinated, multi-campus food drive at ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app this fall collected hundreds of pounds of nonperishable items for donation to local food pantries.
