Piedmont Tech Announces Writing Contest Winners

The fear of loss was a common theme in the winning essays of 鉴黄师app鈥檚 annual English Department Writing Contest. Awards were presented in two categories: Nonfiction Essay and Writing About Literature. This year鈥檚 winner in the Nonfiction Essay category is Melissa Billey for her piece 鈥淢atters of the Heart.鈥 Billey is an online student majoring in General Technology Commercial Art from the town of Donalds in Abbeville County. The winner in the Writing About Literature category is Brandon Martinez of Greenwood for his analysis of the poem 鈥淏ilingual/Bilingue鈥 by Rhina P. Espaillat.

SC WINS: New Scholarship Helps Further Reduce Tuition Cost

An SC WINS scholarship bill passed by SC Legislature this spring will help further reduce tuition costs for PTC students.

Spring 2019 Academic Honor Students Recognized

鉴黄师app students who had outstanding academic accomplishments during the 2019 Spring Semester have earned inclusion on the President鈥檚 List. To be named to the list, students must be full time and earn a term GPA of 4.00. Students will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the college president.

Greenwood Edge Graduates 19, Signs Class of 2020

The inaugural class of graduates from the Greenwood Edge program received their certificates last week at a special ceremony at 鉴黄师app in Greenwood. In all, 19 students received certificates in a number of manufacturing disciplines through the collaborative scholarship program sponsored by the Greenwood Promise and the county鈥檚 school districts.
