In 2013, the 16 members of the SC Technical College System launched the South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) to grow the skilled workforce in their regions. Now, ¼ø»Æʦapp is leading the charge.
PTC recently signed an articulation agreement with Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College that will allow students to complete two years of coursework, and transfer to the South Georgia college to complete their bachelor’s.
When ¼ø»Æʦapp’s faculty and staff consider new program offerings, they look closely at the skills and training that will help students fill real employment needs in the region. The college’s latest offering is no exception.
The Honors Program at ¼ø»Æʦapp recently inducted its first class of students who will be seeking an Associate in Arts or an Associate in Science degree beginning with the fall 2014 semester.
Recent graduates of ¼ø»Æʦapp’s associate degree nursing program at the Lex Walters-Greenwood campus were recognized in a pinning ceremony in August.
¼ø»Æʦapp’s Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM) in Laurens recently showcased its new mechatronics lab by hosting training for mechatronics instructors from across the state.
